It seems critics aren't the only ones beefing with the 2018 Robin Hood adaptation, as Taron Egerton has now also lashed out at his own movie.

Egerton played the titular Robin of Loxley in Otto Bathurst's film, which also starred Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan, Eve Hewson and Tim Minchin.

But, after a critical mauling and poor box office performance, Taron has now also piled into the movie, explaining that he did not enjoy working on the film and that it was "made by committee" after being pitched to him "in a different way".

Eek.

"It was absolutely not the movie that I signed up to make," Taron told Variety and iHeart's The Big Ticket podcast.

“It was pitched to me in a different way. I think it was made by committee and I think it lost its vision. I wasn’t very happy on set. I didn’t have a very happy time making it."

The comments follow Egerton's successful turn as Elton John in the 2019 biopic Rocketman.
