Myleene Klass has publicly spoken out about the pain of suffering a miscarriage at work, whilst hosting her radio show live.

The former Hear'Say star – who's currently taking part in Dancing On Ice – recalled the traumatic experience in a new interview with You magazine over the weekend. She said she has suffered four miscarriages in total.

Myleene explained that she discovered she'd lost her baby whilst taking a toilet break during her show. She added that fellow radio presenter Lauren Laverne was the only reason she managed to get through the last hour of presenting.

'I went to the loo while the music was playing and there was blood everywhere. I didn’t know what to do,' she said, explaining that she rang BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Laverne, who told her to 'do one link, take a breath, come out and call me'.

'I would go out, sob and come back in, take a deep breath and speak. I don’t know what else I would have done. I was on air.'

This was the third miscarriage for 42-year-old Klass, who is already mother to daughters Ava, 13, and Hero, 9, from her previous marriage and one-year-old Apollo with current partner Simon Motson.

Describing her first loss as 'howling at the moon territory', due to the 'guttural' and 'unbearable' pain, her second was a missed miscarriage and her fourth also occurred at work.

In October, Myleene shared a heartfelt post to Instagram to mark National Baby Loss-Miscarriage Day, detailing the circumstances surrounding the four miscarriages.

She said she was inspired by Chrissy Teigen's openness about her tragic baby loss earlier that month.

In the post, Klass called herself 'Mama to 7 babies, Ava, Hero, Apollo my rainbow baby,' as well as '4 little stars in the sky'.

Revealing that after her miscarriages, she 'scoured the internet' looking for similar stories, and hoped that her post helps at least 'one lost soul', who might be going through a similar situation.
