What you need to know about the 2018 MLB All-Star ballots

It feels like the Major League Baseball season just started, but All-Star voting is about ready to take place. Start researching your favorite player’s stats now, because the league unveiled its All-Star ballots Wednesday.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2018 All-Star ballots.

When and how can I vote?

While the ballots were released Wednesday, voting will begin at 12 p.m. ET on Friday. You can vote at MLB.com, on each team’s website or on the MLB At Bat or Ballpark apps.

Here are the players listed on the ballot in 2018. You should be able to write-in a candidate as well. That’s how MLB has done it in the past.

What is the schedule for voting?

MLB hasn’t released specifics yet, but they’ve normally operated by providing a number of updates as the All-Star Game gets closer. These are usually followed by teams pushing their fans to vote their players into starting roles.

Once the teams are decided, MLB will do its usual Final Vote, where fans vote in the last player on the All-Star roster in each league.

When is the All-Star Game?

The 2018 MLB All-Star Game will take place July 17. It will be played at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

Is there anything else I should know?

You can vote 35 times total, with a maximum of five ballots per day. By voting, you’ll have a chance to win a Freedom Elite Motorhome. Ballots will be available in English, Spanish and Japanese. There will also be an option for hearing-impaired fans.
