Neo-Nazi groups are so upset about the themes of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ that they’re threatening a boycott of the film.

Folk on Reddit’s ‘alt-right’ forum ‘r/altright’ seem really rather put out by the whole business too, reports IB Times.

“They are brainwashing kids into hating white men,” wrote one user. “All the villains are white and all the ‘good guys’ are minorities and women.”

“Pretty hard-pressed these days to find any form of media content that isn’t blatantly anti-White (or anti-Capitalist, for that matter),” read another post.

There’s been upset among right wing groups ever since the movie’s trailer was released over the summer.

One neo-nazi blog branded the film at the time ‘nothing but a Jew masturbation fantasy of anti-White hate’, in which ‘nearly all of the major characters are non-Whites and the main character is an empowered White female’.

Another took aim at the movie’s studio, noting ‘Disney’s hatred for white males. Unless, of course, they are cast as villains’.

And of course, there was a similar outpouring of bile when it emerged that one of the main stars of ‘The Force Awakens’, Brit star John Boyega, was a black man, while the lead role had gone to a woman (Daisy Ridley).

A boycott is somewhat unlikely to affect the film’s massive opening weekend tracking, which according to analysts is looking like it will be over $130 million (£103 million).

It’s also nailed the record for 2016’s biggest ticket pre-sales already too.

Meanwhile, one of the movie’s writer Chris Weitz has taken a stand against the vile hate.

Starring Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, and Diego Luna, and helmed by Gareth Edwards, it’s due out in the UK on December 15.
