Franco’s presence in the ‘Prometheus’ sequel has been rumoured for months, which is why the sight of him in the dead centre of the above picture next to his old comedic comrade Danny McBride isn’t really much of a surprise.

The image proves that it’s going to be quit tight on the colony ship Covenant, as there will be 15 people trying to avoid the Aliens that will almost inevitably come aboard.

As well as Franco and McBride, the image includes Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Carmen Ejogo, Jussie Smollett, Uli Latukefu, Demian Bichir, Amy Seimetz, and eight other members of the film, most of whom we can safely assume will meet some sort of grisly end in ‘Alien: Covenant’.

‘Alien: Covenant’s’ Facebook crew didn’t just upload a brand new image for the film. They also revealed that a special sneak peek for the film will air during the latest episode of ‘Legion’ on Wednesday February 22 in the US.

It will almost certainly make its way to the internet soon after, so keep your eyes pealed for the footage early on Thursday morning. If you’re already counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until it airs, you can appease yourself with the teaser trailer for ‘Alien: Covenant’ below.

‘Alien: Covenant’ will be with us in all of its gory glory on May 19, 2017.
