Director Zack Snyder has given us our first look at Ben Affleck in 'Batman vs Superman' thanks to a post on his Twitter feed.

The black and white photo not only reveals a new look for the Dark Knight, but it also gives us a better look at his new Batmobile too.

A close up look at the suit reveals a much more textured fabric look to the suit than we've been used to in Chris Nolan's Batman films, and the logo on his chest is a brand new design.

Other notable differences to the suit donned by Christian Bale include smaller ears, and more integrated headpiece and cape design.

Snyder yesterday teased a reveal of the Batmobile, so a double-whammy of the Batsuit too is a pleasant surprise for fans.

The Batmobile appears to be a cross between Nolan's Tumbler design and the sleeker model used in Tim Burton's 'Batman' films.

The costume's texture brings it in line with the Superman costume worn by Henry Cavill in 'Man of Steel', and should appease fans who were worried about Affleck's casting in the film.

'Batman vs Superman' is currently shooting, and will be in cinemas 6 May, 2016.
