New Ghostbusters Villains And Photo Revealed

A brand new ‘Ghostbusters’ image showing Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones looking rather fantastic has been released. In fact, you can check it out below.

The rather sensational picture comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. But it hasn’t stopped there, because we’ve also been made privy to new plot details regarding the reboot, including the ghosts that the quartet will be busting.

A new description from Entertainment Weekly has explained, “Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living in Paul Feig’s ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot.”

The publication the added that this will include “pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters.”

The rebooted ‘Ghostbusters’ film sees Kristen Wiig’s Erin Gilbert and Melissa McCarthy’s Abby Yates as two authors who insist ghosts are real, but are roundly chastised for their beliefs. When ghosts invade Manhattan though they are soon asked to form a team to save the world.

With acclaimed comedic director Paul Feig overseeing two of the funniest film stars on the planet in McCarthy and Wiig, as well as two ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast members, you’d have expected the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot to be hugely anticipated.

Unfortunately, some people have already voiced their opposition to the film, even though we’ve yet to see any trailers or footage for the comedy. There’s now huge pressure to prove these naysayers wrong. But, despite the popularity of the original, with so much esteemed talent involved that shouldn’t be a problem.

We’ll be able to compare and contrast the ‘Ghostbusters’ films when Feig’s reboot is finally released on July 22, 2016. We can expect to see first footage for the film very, very soon too.
