A new poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home has teased the presence of four classic villains in Tom Holland's next Spider-movie.

As well as Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, who was revealed in the first teaser trailer for the much-anticipated new Marvel movie, the poster also shows Green Goblin, a yellow flash of lightning to indicate Electro and the swirling sandstorm of the Sandman.

Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx and Thomas Haden-Church are all rumoured to be returning to play the characters who each appeared in earlier iterations of the series.

The official synopsis makes no mention of the multiverse, so this seems to confirm that Tom Holland's Spider-Man is facing villains from other universes — namely: Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, and Marc Webb's two Amazing Spider-Man films.

This opens the door for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to both appear as Peter Parker too, but that remains rumour and speculation for now.

Besides Molina's Doc Ock, another character confirmed to be appearing in No Way Home is Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange.

According to recent reports, the new Spider-Man film will clock in 159 minutes, making it one of the longest Marvel movies of all time. But with all these extra characters to cram, the more the merrier, right?

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be in IMAX and cinemas from 17 December.
