New Star Wars 8 Image Teases End Of Filming
It looks as though ‘Star Wars 8’ has almost finished shooting.
According to an image posted by director Rian Johnson, filming is “in the home stretch,” for the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ sequel… and the image might give us some idea of what to expect.
Even if it is just a robe in a cave.

Although the picture doesn’t exactly reveal an awful lot, the Jedi-looking robe is likely to be Luke Skywalker’s – after all, he was seen sporting something rather similar at the end of ‘The Force Awakens’.
Aside from the robe and a few filmmaking items, the other main feature of the photograph is the cave (or perhaps rocky cliff-face) seen in the background.
But what does that tell us?
Well, if ‘Star Wars 8’ really is in the home straight, it looks as though Rey’s visit to Luke Skywalker may be far more important than we realised. After all, filming on the island of Skelling Michael of the coast of Ireland has only recently wrapped… and that could mean a lot of screen time spent on the island with Luke.
It certainly seems likely that Rey’s ‘Star Wars 8’ story arc revolves around the island.
What does this mean?
Well, the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy also featured a young Jedi hopeful heading off to a remote planet in search of a Jedi Master… and it looks likely that Rey will receive some sort of Jedi training during this second instalment of the ‘Star Wars’ sequels.
Could this mean a similar story to ‘The Empire Strikes Back’?
For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but with rumours that Kylo Ren arrives on the island, it seems that her Jedi training may not go quite according to plan.
‘Star Wars 8’ heads to cinemas on 15 December 2017.
