We’ve got hold of the awesome new trailer for sci-fi reboot ‘Robocop’, starring Joel Kinnaman as Detroit’s iconic cop-turned-bot Alex Murphy.
Samuel L. Jackson’s super slick TV host Pat Novak starts up the clip, telling America why they shouldn't be so "robo-phobic" - but not before we get a personal introduction courtesy of director Jose Padilha, exclusive to Yahoo Movies.

The remake of Paul Verhoeven’s cult 1987 movie (starring Peter Weller) re-imagines the same storyline of police officer transformed into a justice-dishing-out machine. Here’s the official synopsis:
“In ‘RoboCop’, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.”
Directed by Jose Padilha and co-starring Jennifer Ehle, Jackie Earle Haley Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish and Jay Baruchel, ‘Robocop’, is out in the UK 7 February 2014. You can watch the first trailer, below.
