Nicki Minaj fans are calling for her to take action after Madame Tussauds Berlin unveiled a new waxwork of her.

The lifesize figure of the Good Form singer was revealed at the German celebrity wax museum yesterday, prompting a flurry of comments from Twitter users claiming it does not resemble Minaj.

Some fans went so far as to call it disrespectful.

The waxwork is wearing a replica of the outfit from the 37-year-old singer’s 2014 music video for Anaconda and posed in the same way – but the face does not obviously resemble ther.

Minaj has yet to comment but many fans have expressed outrage on her behalf.

Alice wrote: “If I was @NICKIMINAJ I would have them take that wax figure down ASAP. That does look like nicki and ya won’t take our culture from us. [sic]”

And Vitty tweeted: “They disrespected @NICKIMINAJ with that wax figure...”

One user commented: “Girl....don’t let them people play you with that damn wax figure.”

Joshua claimed: “That's a wax sculpture of a white woman. .@NICKIMINAJ is very much a black woman.”

While Mr Mahallic said: “Germany did @NICKIMINAJ dirty with that wax figure.”

It is not the first time Madame Tussauds has faced criticism for getting celebrity waxworks wrong. In 2017 some fans commented that a new waxwork of Beyonce appeared “whitewashed” and that its skin tone was lighter than the singer’s own.
