Nicole Kidman has addressed her return as Gillian Owens in Practical Magic 2 for the first time.

Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed the sequel's development earlier this month, with original stars Kidman and Sandra Bullock both onboard as the Owens sisters, as well as screenwriter Akiva Goldsman.

"Yes I will be in it. And Sandy will be in it. And that's that," Kidman told People. "There's a lot more to tell which is why we go, 'OK, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this.' [We] found a way in."

Adapted from the Alice Hoffman novel of the same name, 1998's Practical Magic charted the lives of Gillian and Sally, who were raised by their aunties after the death of their parents.

Oddly, every man who gets close to them mysteriously dies, and so the family must come together to end the curse meant to keep each of the women away from falling in love.

It was directed by Griffin Dunne, who also famously played Jack Goodman in An American Werewolf in London.

As for the plot of Practical Magic 2, Hoffman penned three more entries in her book series that could be used: The Rules of Magic, Magic Lessons and The Book of Magic.

The first season featured Michael Shannon, Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale and Regina Hall.

Practical Magic 2 does not yet have a release date.
