Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has brought back the big hitters for the game against Nottingham Forest after making seven changes to the one that beat League Two side AFC Wimbledon.

Raheem Sterling has completed more take than any other Premier League player this season and deservedly earned his rest in mid-week but has been brought back here to try and get the team another three points.

Mykhailo Mudryk who has been injured and missed the last two games is back on the bench and will hope he gets some minutes to build up his fitness and form.

Cole Palmer who switched from Manchester City to Chelsea is also named on the bench but Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku are all still out and will miss the game.

Nottingham Forest have won just one of their 21 Premier League away games since their top-flight return last season, so this promises to be an interesting game for Steve Cooper’s side.

Taiwo Awoniyi is aiming to become the first player to score in eight successive Premier League games since Jamie Vardy between October and December 2019.

They will be without Orel Mangala and Scott McKenna, while Andrey Santos is ineligible to face his parent club. Deadline days signing Callum Hudson Odoi is not ready and has been left out entirely for this one.

Chelsea have signed 12 players this summer transfer window, something closer to what Nottingham Forest did when they first gained promotion to the Premier League last season.

They will now have to start winning games convincing and so with that in mind here is the team Mauricio Pochettino has put together for the game.
