Nobody 2 has received an exciting update, as it's been announced that filming is expected to begin this summer.

According to Variety, the follow-up to Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk's 2021 action thriller is set to begin production this August, with the film scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 15, 2025.

It's also been reported that filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, known for The Night Comes for Us and May the Devil Take You, will direct the sequel, while Derek Kolstad is returning to write the script alongside Odenkirk, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem.

The first film, which was directed by Ilya Naishuller, sees Odenkirk play a former government assassin turned family man who returns to his old ways of violence after two thieves break into his home.

Digital Spy caught up with the actor ahead of the film's release, where he discussed comparisons between Nobody and John Wick.

"I think we've established a fundamentally different kind of character here. The DNA that connects John Wick and Nobody is the way that Derek tells a story that kind of builds and grows conceptually," he said at the time.

"The bad guys become bigger and badder, and there becomes more of them, and all the feelings become bigger, and the tricky, clever ways the character fights, he's topping himself all the time."

Elsewhere, Odenkirk is set to team up once again with Nobody screenwriter Derek Kolstad for another action feature titled Normal.

The upcoming film will see Odenkirk play Ulysses, who is "thrust into the temporary role of the sheriff for the small sleepy town of Normal after the previous one's untimely death."

The synopsis continues: "When the town's bank is robbed by an out-of-town couple, he arrives on the scene to find that the town is hiding much more sinister deep-seated secrets under its surface."

Nobody 2 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 15, 2025.
