These days, it feels like it’s Norman Powell’s world and we’re just living in it.
After scoring a career-high 37 points against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, Powell continued where he left off on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings.
Powell put Kings forward Harry Giles on a poster during the opening minutes of the game, and you’re really going to want to see this a few times—unless you’re a Kings fan, of course.
No one can fault Giles for trying to contest Powell at the rim, but he might be second-guessing himself for showing up late and getting turned into an instant gif.
we dont talk enough about how norman powell is the best player in the nba— William Lou (@william_lou) March 9, 2020
Powell was injected into the starting lineup with Fred VanVleet out due to injury, and though this adage is sometimes overused, it’s nearly impossible to make more of the increased opportunity than the 26-year-old has this season.
