NYPD enlists Batman to tackle Creepy Clowns

The Dark Knight Rises… to tackle creepy clowns.

Following the recent creepy clown epidemic, it looks as though one New York Police Department has come up with a pretty unique solution to combat them - Batman.

“The Fairport Police have received a lead in the Crazy Clown epidemic that has been gripping the nation,“ the department wrote via Facebook. “We have received information that these clowns are the henchmen of … you guessed it … the Joker. Since verifying this new information, the Fairport Police Department have recruited the assistance of America’s Favorite Caped Crusader, BATMAN!”

Obviously, the post isn’t to be taken seriously. But the department has decided to fight the rise of those creepy clown sightings in the best way possible - with a bit of light-hearted humour.

“Batman has been given a Fairport Police Uniform and Police Car to be on patrol in the Fairport area on alert for any suspicious activity. Please call 911 if you observe anything suspicious and we will signal Batman from atop the Village Hall where the blue light shines. Have a safe and Happy Halloween from the members of the Fairport Police Department.”

In all seriousness, the Fairport Police Department do advise that anyone spotting suspicious activity should call 911 immediately and report it to the authorities.

Whether or not Batman actually responds remains to be seen…

Of course, this isn’t the first time Batman has tackled those creepy clowns, with a man dressed as the Caped Crusader chasing away clowns in Cumbria, here in the UK.

“If you want to scare someone, why don’t you try and scare me,” shouted the British Batman as he chased away the clowns in a video which has since gone viral.

Let’s hope those clowns get the message…
