Disney+ has begun adding a content warning to the first episodes of Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi in the wake of the recent mass shooting in Texas.
The streamer added the first versions of the content warning shortly after the two premiere episodes debuted on Friday, according to Deadline, noting that viewers may be upset by some scenes of violence.

A Disney spokesman said: "In light of recent tragic events, we recognize there are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting and a content warning has been added to the show page.
"We are also working to add an advisory in front of the series as quickly as possible."
The warning refers to one of the earliest scenes in the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which features clone troopers attacking young trainees at the Jedi Temple in the wake of Order 66.
Disney decided the scenes may be increasingly upsetting to viewers following the killing of 19 children and two teachers in a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday.

Multiple different versions of the warning message have appeared on the Obi-Wan Kenobi page in the 24 hours since the episodes were first added.
Netflix added a similar warning to the fourth season of Stranger Things, which debuted this week and features scenes of violence involving children.
Obi-Wan Kenobi features Ewan McGregor returning to the role of the Jedi master, having portrayed him in the three prequel movies between 1999 and 2005.
The series also stars Hayden Christensen, returning as Darth Vader in the wake of his devastating clash with Kenobi on the volcano planet of Mustafar.
