When suggested she get in contact with James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, Colman shared her experience meeting the 007 boss, saying: "I know, I met her once. I wanted to go, 'Can I be M?' I must try to be cooler about it. Maybe she reads Vogue? Put that bit in."

As well as her dreams to join the Bond universe, the Oscar winner has been busy on a number of upcoming projects. The first being the highly-anticipated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka — which stars Timothée Chalamet as the eccentric chocolatier.

Also starring Sally Hawkins and Hugh Grant, the film — which is set for release on December 8 in the UK, and December 15 in the US — will see Colman play a villain.

"I think you can tell from the trailer she's not the romantic lead, she's one of the villains. She's a great villain, she's terrific," said Wonka's director, Paul King, during a trailer preview event for the film.

Wonka arrives in UK cinemas on December 8. Wicker is yet to receive a release window.
