Olivia Colman's reaction to her The Crown co-star Emma Corrin winning a Golden Globe is adorable - with Corrin describing the award as an 'incredible honour'.

Olivia - who plays Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series and who has three Golden Globes of her own - was unabashedly excited over Emma’s win for playing Princess Diana. She got up from her seat and did a little dance to celebrate the announcement during the virtual ceremony on Sunday (28 February).

Both Emma and Olivia were both nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama TV Series category for The Crown. Olivia won the award the previous year but was genuinely delighted for her co-star taking home the trophy in 2021.

Jodie Comer for Killing Eve, Laura Linney for Ozark and Sarah Paulson for Ratched also lost out to Emma. Olivia holds three Golden Globes already, having won for The Crown in 2020, The Favourite in 2019 and The Night Manager in 2017.

Olivia also enthusiastically celebrated Jodie Foster winning the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her role in The Mauritanian; Olivia had been nominated for her part in The Father.

On winning her award, Emma explained: “It’s incredibly exciting. It’s very hard to wrap my head around. It’s an incredible honour and it’s going to take a while to sink in."

When asked how she felt about her co-stars Gillian Anderson, Josh O'Connor and writer Peter Morgan also picking up Golden Globes, she said:

"It’s just the most amazing feeling. I wish that I could be with them to all celebrate together, and it’s sad because I feel like all of us are only as good as the people that surround us. I really feel so proud and happy for them and so proud of the show.

"It was an incredible experience to be a part of and it’s so right that they were honoured for their work because they are so incredible.

Emma also added that she'd 'thank' Princess Diana for her Golden Globe if she could.

"I suppose I would say thank you, to some extent," she explained on the ceremony broadcast. "I feel like I played a version of her which was my own. I think Peter Morgan’s version of Diana is such a fictional one that it is quite distanced from the real person, but at the same time obviously so influenced and inspired by her, so I suppose I would want to thank her in some way."
