Owen Teague Joins Stephen King’s It

Owen Teague has joined the adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘It’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the young actor will be joining Stephen King’s ‘It’ alongside Bill Skarsgard.

“Owen Teague, who plays Ben Mendelsohn’s son on Netflix’s Bloodline, has joined the cast of New Line’s adaptation of Stephen King’s It.”

Stephen King’s ‘It’ adapts the classic novel of the same name… and follows a group of children called the Losers Club who defeat a creature called It. Many years later, the evil creature returns, and the now-adult members of the Losers Club are reunited to face him. Even though they have no memory of their initial encounter.

But who will Owen Teague be playing?

“Teague will play Patrick Hocksetter, part of a group of bullies who torment the Losers Club. He is a psychopath and keeps a refrigerator full of animals that he’s killed.”

Of course, Owen Teague is no stranger to Stephen King adaptations, and is due to star alongside John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in the movie, ‘Cell’ – a story about a signal broadcast over the global mobile phone network which turns most of humanity into mindless, vicious animals.

Stephen King’s ‘It’ stars Bill Skarsgard as the demonic clown Pennywise, with Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor as the members of the Losers Club.

Filming is due to begin in July, based in Toronto. Andy Muschietti, the director behind ‘Mama’ will helm the adaptation, which is being told in two parts – much like the earlier televised version.

Stephen King’s ‘It’ heads to cinemas on 8 September 2017.
