Oz The Great And Powerful Super Bowl trailer

The new TV spot for Disney’s ‘Oz The Great And Powerful’ has arrived online giving us a more action packed feel than before. The trailer was premiered during yesterday’s Super Bowl XLVII.

The new 30 second trailer injects some choral gravitas into Sam Raimi’s reboot of the classic fantasy series, with previous trailers having lacked a little in the action department.

Set before the events of the classic 1939 film that starred Judy Garland, ‘Oz The Great And Powerful’ sees James Franco’s circus magician take the tornado to the Land of Oz where he finds fame and fortune. Once there though he meets three witches (Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams), one of which turns out to be the cause of the magical land’s epic problems.

Disney have been doing their best to keep the identity of the Wicked Witch a secret, with mysterious teasers alluding to both Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis. However their attempts were recently thwarted when the character’s face was revealed on the side of an official merchandise mug.

‘Oz The Great And Powerful’ is out in the UK 8 March 2013.
