A third Paddington movie is officially in the works, just in case you're missing the marmalade-loving bear.
Star Hugh Bonneville revealed on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 show last week that another sequel was "somewhere on the horizon", and now StudioCanal has confirmed it's currently being worked on.
The production company said (via Variety): "We can confirm StudioCanal is working very hard on film 3 with the utmost craft and care – as with film 1 and 2."
There aren't any new details about the movie just yet, but Ben Whishaw – the voice of the bear in the first two films as well as animated TV series The Adventures of Paddington – is naturally expected to return alongside Bonneville.
However, original director Paul King has confirmed that he won't be back for Paddington 3, saying last year: "At some point, you just have to stop. It might be time for somebody else to do a twist on it. I'm trying not to do a third bear movie, which is a huge, huge mistake."
Still, King is now working on the upcoming Willy Wonka prequel movie Wonka, which will follow the younger days of the chocolate factory boss.
One thing that Paddington 3 could (but very likely won't) feature is a baddie team-up between The Undoing stars Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman, as much as Grant wants it to happen.
Kidman played the villainous Millicent Clyde in the first Paddington, while Grant starred as the despicable Phoenix Buchanan in the follow-up.
Speaking to Digital Spy last month, Grant joked about returning to the Paddington universe in cahoots with Kidman, saying: "Yes, we should do that. And then a mummy gets murdered, and I'm the suspect. We should mix up the two things."
Which, in case you haven't seen it, is how The Undoing played out.
