Gwyneth Paltrow could be set to get her own 'Iron Man' suit, according to reports.

Bosses at Marvel hinted that Paltrow's character Pepper Potts could don the metal armour worn by her boss Tony Stark in a future film in the franchise.

“Everyone at this table thinks it would be the coolest thing in the world to see Pepper get in the suit at some point,” said Marvel's Kevin Feige during a panel discussion at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Former director and co-star Jon Favreau chimed in: “We almost did it a few times; we talked about it a lot. I think we all share your enthusiasm for that, and we all want to see Gwyneth kick a little a**.”

In the 'Invincible Iron Man' comic books, Potts does use one of Tony Stark's suits, and adopts the codename Rescue, before getting her own suit specially made.

The third film in the 'Iron Man' series is currently in production, once again starring Robert Downey Jr, with Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley.

But Downey Jr has said that he's unsure whether he would appear in a fourth.

“I feel like I don't know where you go after 'Iron Man 3'. Leave it all on the field, you know?” he said.
