Though the planes did not reach the stage, nor the were they seen on the television broadcast, security at the Dolby Theatre acted quickly to remove the trouble-maker from the ceremony.

However, after protesting her removal, she was eventually allowed to return to her seat.

The film, which can be seen in full online and is shown before screenings of Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph', centres around a man who meets a woman on a train platform and uses paper planes to try and grab her attention.

The touching short was directed by John Kahrs, who has worked on Pixar and Disney films including 'Ratatouille', 'Toy Story 2', 'Monsters Inc' and 'The Incredibles'.
