Pattinson wore wig for Twilight finale

Star needed 'Frankenstein' hair piece

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he had to wear a wig while filming scenes for 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2'.

The actor, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, needed to augment his hair with an orange hair-piece for re-shoots of the film, the final instalment in the 'Twilight' series, because his natural hair had changed since the scenes were first shot.

“We had to do the re-shoots on [Breaking Dawn - Part 2] a few weeks ago, and it was the first time I had to wear a wig,” he said.

“I couldn't believe my last two days on Twilight they put this orange wig on my hair. [It was] like Frankenstein's monster, an amalgamation of six wigs.”

Giving himself advice, he then added: “Don't succumb to peer pressure and start wearing a wig like everybody else in this cast.”

Several of the cast and crew appeared on a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend, during which they paid tribute to 53-year-old fan Gisela Gagliardi, who was run over and killed outside the convention centre while camping out with other 'Twilight' fans.

“Gisela will always live in our hearts and memories, and we wish her family and friends our best in this difficult time ,” said panel moderator Eric Moro.
