Paul Feig gets emotional over supportive Ghostbusters fans

The release of ‘Ghostbusters’ earlier this summer brought out the worst in movie fans as over-zealous fans of the original and downright misogynists criticised the film, even though most of them hadn’t even seen it when they decided to attack it.

But there are quite a few people who appreciated and adored the reboot, and with Halloween around the corner they’ve now started to share their costumes that have been inspired by ‘Ghostbusters’.

Director Paul Feig has been uploading the various images and videos of individuals in their ‘Ghostbusters’ costumes that have been sent his way, admitting that just the sight of them gets him a little emotional.

This was especially true of a video that was shared by Robin Shelby, who voiced Lady Slimer in ‘Ghostbusters’, and showed several people in cosplay and costume at Grand Rapids Comic Con. Feig responded to the tweet with:

Well, this just choked me up. Thanks, Grand Rapids Ghostbusters and the amazing @ActressRShelby. I love you all too. https://t.co/KvvqPPAdTN

Feig wasn’t done there, though, as he went on to respond to a mother who thanked the director and actresses Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon for rebooting the Ghostbusters franchise:

That means more to the team and I than you will ever know. https://t.co/w0LbUcxrG4

Paul Feig is likely to keep on re-tweeting similar images and videos in the lead up to Halloween. So those of you looking to feel good or cleanse yourself of the initial vitriolic reaction to the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot should head to his Twitter pages for updates.
