Yahoo Movies Paul Gascoigne blames Piers Morgan after thieves burgle £140k worth of jewellery from his home
Paul Gascoigne has revealed £140,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from his home while he attended Vinnie Jones’ Piers Morgan’s Life Stories episode - and blamed the theft on the Good Morning Britain presenter.
The former England and Tottenham midfielder has told how thieves raided his Dorset home - and says police think the perpetrators may have been alerted to the empty house by a photo Morgan shared with his 7.6 million Twitter followers.
Morgan shared an image of himself with Gascoigne on the night the Life Stories episode with Vinnie Jones was filmed in London.
Gazza is not one to hold a grudge, though he has asked for Morgan to replace the more bizarre items taken - two steaks stolen from his freezer.
He told the Sunday People: “Police think that the picture Piers posted of us filming in London could have alerted burglars that I was away.
“But they must have been hungry, they took my two steaks out of the freezer.”

Proving he holds no grudge against the Life Stories host, Gazza joked: “Piers, I’ll let you off on the gold watch, but you owe me two f***ing steaks.”
On a more serious note, one of the watches stolen was passed on to Gascoigne by his dad John who died in 2018.
He added: “It’s sad because I have so many memories attached to the items. My dad’s belongings meant so much to me, I’d really like them back.”
The Life Stories episode aired Saturday (5 September) and proved poignant viewing as Jones discussed the death of late wife Tanya.
The emotions also ran high as Gascoigne and Jones spoke of their mutual admiration for one another.
The pair were famously pictured in 1988 during a match between Wimbledon and Newcastle. The image shows Jones aggressively grabbing Gascoigne between the legs.

Jones called Gazza “One of the best, if not the best that I’ve played against” to which Gascoigne responded: “It’s great to hear. It’s 30 years he’s been a friend of mine.”
