The world was delighted when Kensington Palace released the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex's official wedding photos on Monday (21 May).

Two of the three shots, taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at The Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, showed the royal couple surrounded by their little bridesmaids and page boys, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte looking predictably adorable.

And, while most royal fans took to social media to comment on the cuteness of Meghan's little helpers (especially Prince George with that cheeky grin of his!), some Twitter users they noticed something amiss...

In fact, they thought one of the bridesmaids, Florence Van Cutsem, had forgotten something rather important: her bouquet...

'I NEED to know... why there weren't enough bridesmaids bouquets for everyone? It is driving me nuts,' wrote one user.

Others assumed the little one had just misplaced her flowers before the photos...

'Love the little bridesmaid who has obviously lost her bouquet somewhere,' said one, while another added: 'Looks like one of the bridesmaids has lost her bouquet! Aww, bless!'

But was a bouquet really lost?

In fact, after doing some digging and reviewing footage of the royal wedding, Prima.co.uk has discovered that there's a very logical and important reason why one of the bridesmaids didn't have a bouquet...

As you'll see below, as the little ones made their way down the aisle, one of the little girls, Ivy Mulroney, was bouquet-free – until Meghan got to the altar and handed her own flowers to Ivy, of course!

And, since the Duchess of Sussex was pictured holding her own flowers in the official shots, that's why it appears as if the bridesmaids were a bouquet short!
