Peter Andre has revealed that he’s ‘trying to protect’ his children Junior and Princess following their mother’s and his ex-wife Katie Price’s erratic behaviour.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Andre said he’s trying to shield them away from all the negativity.

“I’m dealing with everything that’s going on at the moment, but I think it’s very important to deal with these things privately and I’m doing so.

“Making sure my kids are protected and away from any negativity is my main priority,” he said.

And when directly asked how he is able to protect them against the various scandalous headlines Price has earned recently, he said he tries to ‘divert it.’

“I try to be as honest as I can be, but I do try and find a way to divert it. I just want to keep the kids protected,” he said.

Andre also revealed whether he wanted more children. In addition, to Princess (11) and Junior (13), he has a daughter Amelia (4) and a son Theodore (1).

“Emily does melt at the thought of having another child. She’s such a good mum.

“When we’re all here in the house there are so many joyous moments, so it might be nice to add another child into the mix,” he said.

Andre’s comments about his family life come after months of Katie Price grabbing the headlines – often for all the wrong reasons.

In addition to her house reportedly catching on fire last week, she’s also facing bankruptcy, was caught rapping about taking cocaine and her mother Amy is tragically suffering from a terminal lung disease.

It was confirmed earlier this year that Princess and Junior live with Andre full-time.
