Phoenix set to rise again?

Famke Janssen, who played the character of Jean Grey, better known as Phoenix in the 'X-Men' films, has spoken about her wish to be involved with the next installment: 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'.

Speaking to Collider website, Janssen said, "If you run into Bryan Singer, just tell him I’ve been sitting by the phone. I’ve been hearing rumours of all these people getting cast. What about me? I’m waiting…''

The movie, scheduled to open in July 2014, is being directed by Bryan Singer and will star Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman reprising their roles as Professor Xavier and Wolverine, although Janssen has not been confirmed as yet.

Her comment follows the news that January Jones will not be returning as Emma Frost, a character from 'X-Men: First Class'. This is despite the fact that the next part of the franchise has a time-traveling plot allowing actors such as Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy to appear in the same movie as their older counterparts.
