She said yes to the dress — and the man! The first photos of Serena Williams’s New Orleans wedding to Alexis Ohanian are here, and we can’t stop swooning. Williams and Ohanian are one of our favorite celebrity couples of all time. This past Thursday, November 16th, they got married at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center.

Williams wanted to plan a wedding that was “as nontraditional as possible,” Vogue reports. Still, every detail of their big day was thoughtful. Bridesmaids wore the Galia Lahav dresses of their choosing and guests sat on sofas instead of chairs. Which, speaking of, their wedding guest list was insane. Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Anna Wintour, and Eva Longoria were some of the big names who were there to celebrate the newlyweds. Of course, Williams and Ohanian’s daughter, Alexis Olympia, was also present to watch her mom and dad tie the knot. (She was born just eleven weeks earlier, on September 1!)

According to Vogue, Williams wore a custom strapless ballgown and cape, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. She carried an all-white bouquet that was modestly sized and filled with classic white roses. For some extra sparkle, Williams wore jewelry by XIV Karats — $3.5 million in jewels, to be exact. Hey, what the bride wants, the bride gets.

The result was a stunning look dripping with timeless glamour.

All eyes were definitely on Williams, but Ohanian looked dapper as well. He wore a made-to-measure Armani tux and shirt.

But the amazing dresses didn’t stop there.

Williams’s second look of the night was a more form-fitting feathered and beaded Versace number.

The wedding had a romantic fairy-tale theme. Specifically, Beauty and the Beast.

“The whole fairy-tale idea came to us early on,” Jennifer Zabinski, the couple’s wedding planner, told Vogue. “Serena’s very girly. She was like, ‘I love Disney, how can we incorporate it in?’ Then Serena and Alexis said, ‘What do you think about a royal ball?’ Serena was like, ‘I just want it to be opulent. I want it to be like a fairy tale.’”

True to the theme, the reception was decorated like a classic French ballroom. The couple even sat on gold thrones. Their first dance was to “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast. (We’re not crying, you’re crying.) Naturally, Williams and Ohanian practiced their dance moves beforehand.

Williams donned a second Versace dress (a shorter length for dancing, of course) for the occasion.

The reception itself was full of surprises that felt unique to the bride and groom.

First, during a performance by New Edition, the newlyweds busted out a choreographed dance on stage. At the end of the night, Ohanian shocked Williams by revealing a white carousel in the middle of the reception. Guests went wild.

Determined not to ignore Williams’ athletic side, the party featured sporty touches too. A Gatorade station was there for guests to recover from their overindulgences. Each table was named after one of the bride’s grand slam wins, and guests walked away with mini trophies as favors.

Not surprisingly, one of our fave celebrity couples ended up throwing one of our fave celebrity weddings. Here’s to their fairytale happy ending!
