Piers Morgan has taken to social media to post a photo of his shabby-looking garden in an attempt to dispel critics who have said he has it easy in lockdown.

The Good Morning Britain presenter has taken a strong stance on the coronavirus pandemic and has used his platform online and on TV to criticise those not following government recommendations to fight its spread.

However, his vocal approach has led to some online critics to question his credibility in slamming those flouting lockdown laws as some feel he has it easier due to his wealth.

Recent nice weather has seen people ignoring current regulation to only go outside for exercise by openly sunbathing in green spaces - much to the fury of Morgan who has previously urged people to “go home and watch telly”.

However, critics have pointed out not everyone had a nice home or a garden to enjoy the weather in - something many felt Morgan would be unable to understand.

However this is a view the 55-year-old is unhappy with, and he used his Twitter account to address his naysayers in typical Piers Morgan style.

Alongside a photo of his modest, overgrown garden at his London home, he wrote: "For all those asking, this is the size of my 'massive f**king garden' at my London home, where I will be for the duration of this crisis.”

He added sarcastically: "I can only apologise for the ostentatious, luxurious enormity of it."

The Britain’s Got Talent star this weekend had an online spat with Alan Sugar when The Apprentice star and businessman appeared to condone people sunbathing in public while the weather is nice.

Sugar tweeted: “I can't for the life of me understand what @piersmorgan is on about in respect to sunbathing.

“If you are 10 ft away from the next person in the open what's wrong with that.

“In Essex we have big fields if you are in the middle of one chilling out in the sun whats wrong with that?”

An Morgan responded: “I'm done with @Lord_Sugar, trust me. His behaviour over this crisis has been an absolute disgrace, especially for a peer.

“But when he actively encourages British people to go out sunbathing, I can't just sit back & say nothing. His reckless, shameful stupidity will kill people.”
