Playboy Mansion Hosts ‘The Entourage Movie’ Screening

For a movie that embraces its love of Los Angeles, Wednesday night’s preview screening of Warner Bros.’ “The Entourage Movie” could not have been at a more appropriate locale — Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills.

About 50 guests, mostly male, took in the screening aimed at building buzz in advance of the June 3 opening. Hefner did not attend but made sure four Playboy bunnies played host and welcomed guests in style.

Rhys Coiro, who plays Billy Walsh, the director of the fictional “Medellin” movie, was the only cast member to attend.

Private screenings have been held in recent months at Mark Wahlberg’s house in Los Angeles — attended by more than a dozen NBA players — and for the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team and at Seattle Seahawks headquarters on Tuesday.

Laughter dominated throughout the 104-minute playing time, particularly for Kevin Dillon, Rex Lee and Debi Mazar. Four years after the HBO series ended, the film brought back echoes from those eight seasons.

The film is replete with well-known L.A. locations ranging from Pink’s Hot Dogs, Norms, Ben Frank’s and MacArthur Park as well as dozens of cameos including Common, Greg Louganis, Pharrell Williams, Ed O’Neill, Russell Wilson, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Piers Morgan, Armie Hammer, Warren Buffett, Liam Neeson, Jessica Alba, Bob Saget, Tom Brady, Gary Busey, Mark Cuban, Andrew Dice Clay and David Spade.
