‘Breaking Bad’ star Bryan Cranston is making a bid for Oscar glory for his new film ‘Trumbo’.
He plays legendary Hollywood scriptwriter Dalton Trumbo, who was the highest paid scribe in the industry before he lost it all after he was blacklisted for being a communist.

Helen Mirren co-stars as evil Hollywood gossip columnist Hedda Hopper (see below), with Dean O’Gorman playing a young Kirk Douglas - the man who would resurrect Trumbo’s career by offering him a job writing ‘Spartacus’. John Goodman, Elle Fanning and Diane Lane also star.
Cranston won a shed-load of awards for his TV work, and this could be the film that sees him replicate this success on the big screen.
Directed by Jay Roach, ‘Trumbo’ is released early in January 2016.
