The World Celebrates Back To The Future Day

October 21 2015 is the exact date that Marty McFly visited ‘Back To The Future Part II’ and now, finally it’s here!

The 1989 sequel is a beloved comedy classic, especially for its slightly quaint but often prescient vision of the future.

The film successfully predicted hoverboards, finger print technology, video conferencing, Google glasses and much, much more. Sadly though we don’t have flying cars yet.

Because of the film’s cast iron classic status, expect all kind of announcements and PR stunts on the day itself. Hopefully those long-hoped for automatic lace-up trainers will finally be released.

We’ll be keeping track of all the fun below.

Universal created this excellent spoof trailer for ‘Jaws 19′ that plays up to this (”this time it’s really, really personal”). Watch it below:

Crazy Back To The Future prediction is now almost a reality

One of the film’s funniest predictions was that the Chicago Cubs would win the 2015 baseball World Series. The famously rubbish team were chosen by writers because the idea of them winning was so outlandish. But not anymore… Read the full story here.
