Batman V Superman Shown Early To Dying Fan

‘Batman V Superman’ director Zack Snyder has granted a fan his dying wish…

According to a Facebook page set up by the man’s family, Batman fan Barry Henderson was shown the upcoming ‘Batman V Superman’ film before his death several weeks ago.

“It’s been 4 weeks since you went to sleep,” reads a post from his sister, Gwendoline. “We miss and think about you every day…I couldn’t fix you but I could help make a wish come true.”

Barry Henderson was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in October 2014 and was given just eleven months to live… not long enough for the Batman fan to see the upcoming blockbuster.

Although not as widely publicized, the Batman4bazz facebook page follows in the footsteps of ‘Star Wars’ fan Daniel Fleetwood, who was shown ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in the run-up to the film’s release last year.

And it seems that director Zack Snyder was listening…

“Bazz got his wish to see [Batman V Superman] before he passed away,” it explained. “My personal thanks to Mr Zack Snyder and everybody at Warner Bros that made it happen… you know who you are!!!!”

Of course, Henderson’s family are incredibly grateful that his dying wish was fulfilled… and they’re keen to thank everybody who made it possible.

“Thanks also to the staff at the RVI Medi Cinema Newcastle… you were wonderful. Everybody who helped spread the word and support Bazz I can’t thank you enough for helping make my brothers dream come true.”

It’s a rather touching gesture from the ‘Batman V Superman’ director… and we’re sure it means the world to Barry and his family.

‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ heads to cinemas on 25 March 2016.
