The ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ movies are indeed rather sex scene-heavy.
But according to star Dakota Johnson, there’s very little that is sexy about them – quite the contrary, in fact.
The actress has been brutally honest about the work, while being grilled by Pretenders legend Chrissie Hynde in Interview Magazine.
“It’s not… comfortable. It’s pretty tedious,” she said.
“Well, we’re not having actual sex. But I’ve been simulating sex for seven hours straight right now, and I’m over it.”
It probably would lose its shine after seven hours.
And there’s likely much more to come, being that both the 'Fifty Shades of Grey’ sequels, 'Fifty Shades Darker’ and 'Fifty Shades Freed’, are being filmed back to back.
Asked whether her dad Don Johnson had been to the set in Vancouver, she replied: “'No! God, no. Thank God.”
Though the first movie, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, was hammered mercilessly by critics, it was a huge hit at the worldwide box office, making $571 million from its $40 million budget.
This time around, James Foley, of Netflix hit 'House of Cards’ is behind the camera, with writer E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard providing the screenplay.
Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan reprises his role as billionaire S&M enthusiast Christian Grey, with new cast-members including Kim Basinger and Luke Grimes.
It’s due out on February 10, 2017.
