People reports that the royal brothers "did not speak to each other" at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle while attending an Easter Sunday church service on April 21. While waiting to enter the chapel, William, 36, and Harry, 34, stood in a receiving line separated by Kate Middleton, cousin Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike.

Their rather cold Easter outing follows months of speculation that there's tension between the brothers stemming from their wives, Kate and Meghan's, reportedly rocky relationship. The two couples also officially split their royal households earlier this year just before Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace -- where Will and Kate live with their three children -- and into Frogmore Cottage at Windsor.

Also on Sunday, the Times of London published a bombshell report claiming that Buckingham Palace is considering sending Harry and Meghan to Africa to both capitalize on their "rock star" status and put some space between the Sussexes and the Cambridges.

The report claims that the palace is struggling to contain Meghan's popularity out of worry that she will become "bigger than Diana."

"In some ways it would suit William to get his brother out of the country for a few years and Meghan as far away as possible," a friend of the brothers explained, noting that a potential move out of England with a newborn baby -- especially after having just moved into a fully-renovated Frogmore Cottage -- isn't necessarily what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would want.

"They sent them down to Frogmore to try to keep them out of the limelight for a bit. This is doomed to fail. They are worried that Harry and Meghan are going to establish a totally separate enterprise that nobody can get under control," a source explained to the Times. "There are discussions in palace circles about how do we harness Harry and Meghan and this tremendous global attention they get. How do we draw them back, because laying down the law and ticking them off doesn't work at all."

According to the report, "there have been various ideas floated for them to take on a job abroad, such as governor-general of Australia or Canada, wherever," but "the trouble is that you effectively set them up as king and queen of a whole separate country."

In a telling move, the palace -- which historically hasn't commented on many unsubstantiated reports in the press about the royal family, but has done so more frequently in recent years -- released a statement responding to the report that notably didn't deny it.

"Any future plans for The Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage," the statement read. "No decisions have been taken about future roles."

Meghan Markle is reportedly due to give birth to her first child with Prince Harry "any day" now.
