Prince starred in the 1984 Rock musical drama, ‘Purple Rain’. And after writing the original soundtrack to the movie, even landed an Academy Award in the now-defunct category, Best Original Song Score.

In fact, he was the final recipient of the award.

But his film credits don’t end there. Prince’s music has featured in a colossal number of film and TV projects, earning him credits on the original ‘Batman’ movie as well as ‘Happy Feet’ and even ‘Showgirls’.

“Prior to his most recent appearance however, Prince had cancelled two shows due to health concerns,” they explained.
