Yahoo Movies Prince Louis looks so grown up (and just like George) in this new photo
Prince William and Kate Middleton just shared an adorable photo of their youngest son, Prince Louis, to celebrate his third birthday today – and wow, he's certainly grown since we last saw him! The birthday portrait, which has been shared on social media, is extra special too as it was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself, a keen photographer.
In the shot, the now three-year-old can be seen grinning while sat on a little red bike and looking the exact double of his older brother, Prince George. Sorry, but we're still so shocked that Louis isn't a baby anymore if we're honest... where has the time gone?!
The accompanying caption explained that Kate took the picture earlier this week, right before the young royal headed off for his first day at nursery school. Our hearts! In full, it reads: "Three tomorrow! 🚲 Taken earlier this week by The Duchess before he left for his first day of nursery, The Duke and Duchess are pleased to share a new image of Prince Louis. 🎈"
Royal enthusiasts were quick to flood the comments section by pointing out just how similar Louis and George look, as well as taking the time to wish him many happy returns.
"He’s just like George😱," wrote one, while another clearly shared our feelings that Louis has somehow suddenly become a full-time working father-of-two overnight, writing, "3?! He was only born the other day!"
Louis isn't the only royal to celebrate their birthday this week, as the Queen turned 95 this Wednesday. Given that she is still freshly mourning the loss of her beloved husband, Prince Philip, it's believed that the Royal Family (spearheaded by Kate, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall and Sophie Wessex) devised a rota to ensure Her Majesty didn't feel alone at any point on the day.
The Queen also used her birthday as a chance to share a sweet message of thanks about the Duke of Edinburgh, saying that she and the rest of the family have appreciated the outpouring of support from the public following his passing.
We hope that Louis has a wonderful third birthday (and that some more unseen photos might be shared throughout the day too!).
