A Quiet Place Part II star Emily Blunt has suggested that a third movie could definitely happen.
The Evelyn Abbott actress caught up with Collider to discuss the possibilities of expanding the universe even further, with her husband/director/co-star John Krasinski having already thought up a catalogue of ideas.
"He has a whole arc of ideas that could work," she began.
"I think he just wanted to see how people responded to this one before he fully engaged his brain on the third one. But he has a couple of great ideas."
Asked if this horror franchise was designed as a trilogy, Blunt responded: "Why not? I always said when we were approaching this one, I said, 'I think you need to think of it not as a sequel, but this is chapter two, this is just a continuation'. I think there's such an investment in this family – such mileage for expansion in this kind of extraordinary world.
"I think there's room [for a third one]."
In Digital Spy's four-star review of A Quiet Place Part II, we wrote: "Krasinski never forgets that A Quiet Place Part II is a horror movie and keeps the well-crafted scares coming at a pace.
"The very concept of not making a noise is such an effective one that it works as well in daylight as it did in the dim of the Abbotts' home, and you'll find yourself holding your breath along with the characters."
A Quiet Place Part II is released in US cinemas on May 28 and UK cinemas on June 3, with previews on May 31.
