R Kelly blames Ryan Gosling film for his divorce

R Kelly has blamed Ryan Gosling film 'The Notebook' as the reason for his divorce.

The R&B singer details why the Gosling vehicle caused him to end his marriage to his former backing dancer Andrea Kelly in his new memoir, the excellently entitled 'Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me'.

“As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move,” he writes. “I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me.

“'The Notebook' was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine's Day - when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses - that had come and gone.

“My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back.”

Kelly was married to Andrea in 1996 and had three children with her before divorcing in 2009.

But it was seemingly the 2004 Gosling weepy which proved to be the final straw...
