9. ‘Inception’ (2010)

Tom Hardy’s first collaboration with Christopher Nolan brought the British actor to the attention of American audiences for the first time. His screen time as the suave forger Eames was limited, but he made a big impression alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. His delivery of the line “You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.” remains one of the film’s most memorable moments.
