Jeremy Renner is the latest actor to be tipped for the lead role in Albert Hughes' thriller Motor City.
Jake Gyllenhaal, Mamma Mia! star Dominic Cooper and Captain America's Chris Evans have all previously been linked to the role, but were forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
Now The Hurt Locker star Jeremy has been offered the role, according to movie blog Twitchfilm.com.
The movie will also star Zombieland actress Amber Heard and Oscar-nominated Gary Oldman and is due to begin filming shortly.
It tells the story of a criminal who, after being released from prison, begins tracking down the men who framed him.
But The Twitch reports Jeremy is also in the running for Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy's new film The Counsellor - a role which is also being courted by Javier Bardem - which is due to begin shooting in May, and could then rule Jeremy out for Motor City as well.
