Ridley Scott Injured After Forklift Collision On Alien: Covenant Set

Ridley Scott has come a-cropper on the Australian set of ‘Alien: Covenant’, following a run-in with a forklift truck.

The Australian Daily Telegraph reports that he’s injured his wrist, but that it was rather his fault, as he was busy reading a script rather than looking where he was going.

“Everyone on set was so worried the guy driving the fork lift was going to cop a spray,” said a cast-member on the movie.

“But Ridley took it like a man, apologises and said it was his fault and just got on with it.

“The cast and crew have been saying how his reaction to the incident says so much about his nature and professionalism.

“He is now getting around on set with a black cast.”

Very H.R. Giger.

The movie is currently shooting in Sydney, but has also been filming in the Fiordland National Park in New Zealand.

It emerged earlier this week that Noomi Rapace will appear in the movie after all – she was thought to have been out of the new movie, despite her character Elisabeth Shaw having survived the first – shooting some flashback sequences.

We also caught a first glimpse of Michael Fassbender’s android David last week too, with his now now seemingly sewn on.

Little else is known about the prequel sequel’s plot, other than that it should begin to dovetail with the first 'Alien’ movie.

Also starring Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride, the film is due out in August, 2017.
