Robert Downey Jr and Anne Hathaway nominated for Razzies
Robert Downey Jr, Adam Sandler and Anne Hathaway are among the stars up for the most unwanted prizes in Hollywood: the Razzies.
The annual event, also known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, celebrates the worst films of the past 12 months.
Downey Jr has earned his nomination for his much derided Dr Dolittle remake, which is also nominated for Worst Film, Worst Director, Worst Remake and Worst Screenplay, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

As if that wasn’t enough, Downey Jr and his “utterly convincing ‘Welsh’ accent” are also up for the Worst Screen Pairing accolade – giving the movie a total of six nods.

The Iron Man actor will face off against Sandler, Mike Lindell, Michele Morrone and David Spade in the Worst Actor category. Meanwhile, the Worst Actress nominees include Hathaway, Kate Hudson and Katie Holmes.
Polish thriller 365 Days – which was criticised for glamorising rape and sex trafficking in the wake of its release on Netflix – also has six nominations, including Morrone’s Worst Actor nod.
It’s not just stars from the entertainment world who are in the firing line this year either and Rudy Giuliani is on two shortlists thanks to his appearances in the Borat, Subsequent Movie-Film.
While many of the nominated films or actors were universally panned upon their releases, there are a handful of surprising mentions.
Glenn Close is up for Worst Supporting Actress for her role in Hillbilly Elegy – despite the fact her star turn is expected to land her an Oscar nomination on Monday.
This year’s Razzies winners will be announced on the 24 April, 2021. See the full list of nominees below:
