Roseanne Barr’s daughter Jennifer Pentland has said that she’s received threats following the controversial tweets that got her mother fired.

42-year-old Pentland, who is the daughter of Barr and her first husband, Bill Pentland, took specific aim at a headline following the furore from People magazine.

It read ‘Roseanne Barr: I was ‘terrified’ living on an ‘island full of brown people’ after racist tweet’.

However, Pentland, who lives in Hawaii, has said the quote was misrepresented, and as a result she’s been the subject of abuse herself.

Barr was fired by ABC and had her revived series of sitcom Roseanne axed after she tweeted that former aide to Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, who is black, was ‘offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes’.

She was later interviewed by her friend the Rabbi Schmuley Boteach, during which she spoke about being accused of racism after having retreated to her home in Hawaii.

“I was afraid to go out, and also because when you’re called a racist and you live on an island full of brown people, it’s kind of terrifying,” she said.

Barr has blamed the tweet on her health, and also the fact that she’d taken sleep medication.

However, she later ranted in a self-published video on YouTube that she believed Jarrett was white.

“I’m trying to talk about Iran! I’m trying to talk about Valerie Jarrett about the Iran deal. That’s what my tweet was about,” she screamed.

“I thought the b**ch was white! Goddamnit, I thought the b**ch was white. F**k!”
