This article contains massive spoilers for the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

This week’s Drag Race UK served up the moment that Cheryl Hole had been seemingly waiting her whole career for – the moment she came face to face with the actual Cheryl Cole

However, their encounter left some fans feeling a little suspicious after the episode debuted on Thursday night, with claims Cheryl Hole had an unfair advantage over Blu Hydrangea when they both landed in the bottom two.

Cheryl Cole and Cheryl Hole met on this week's Drag Race UK

The latest episode of the BBC Three series saw the queens challenged with marketing their own brand of bottled water and filming a comedy commercial to sell it.

Both Cheryl and Blu’s ads failed to impress judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton – although we should note that Cheryl was markedly more impressed by her namesake’s efforts.

Both queens were then forced to lip sync to Call My Name in the special guest’s honour, in order to avoid being sent home.

However, some fans were unimpressed at the supposed head-start Cheryl Hole had, as she plays Cheryl in a Girls Aloud drag tribute act, and even performs a lip sync to the same song as part of the show.

And as the show ended with Blu ultimately being shown the door, there was a lot of reaction online...

Speaking after her exit, Blu said she knew her fate was sealed when she discovered she’d be going up against Cheryl in the lip sync.

“I knew that I wasn’t going to be saved – it was a Cheryl Cole song, in front of Cheryl Cole, and I was up against Cheryl Hole,” she said in an interview with HuffPost UK.

“I wouldn’t have wanted to see her go, she was my closest person in the competition. But at the same time, I didn’t want to see myself go, and that’s why I had to put up a fight, even if I kind of knew what was coming.”

Four queens now remain in the competition with next week’s semi-final will see them tasked with giving their mothers and sisters a drag makeover in the hope of making it through to the final.

A new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race drops on BBC iPlayer next Thursday at 8pm.
