Ryan Reynolds responds to Jamie Lee Curtis's Marvel apology
Ryan Reynolds has responded to Jamie Lee Curtis' apology for what she described as "stupid" comments about Marvel.
During an interview with MTV at Comic-Con last week, Curtis and her Borderlands co-stars were asked to name which phase Marvel is currently in, to which Curtis responded: "Bad."
After her comments went viral online, Curtis issued an apology on X (formerly Twitter), saying her "comments about Marvel were stupid" and that she "will do better".

The Oscar winner continued: "I've reached out to Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud-slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content or conversation."
However, Deadpool and Wolverine star Reynolds was quick to come to Curtis' defence, suggesting an apology wasn't necessary in the first place.
"Wait, is everyone expected to apologise for slamming Marvel post-Endgame?" he wrote on X.

Curtis' comments and apology come after previous comments she made about Marvel and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which she compared to her Oscar-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once.
In one post, she wrote: "Is it JUST me? Does it seem STRANGE that our tiny movie that could and did and continues to do ##1movieinamerica and is TRULY MARVELOUS, out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there... Is this one of those Internet feuds?"
In another, she said of Everything Everywhere All At One: "MARVELOUS! It has a deep BEATING heart and BRILLIANT visual treats, EXTRAORDINARY performances and FANTASTIC BEASTLY FIGHT SCENES," further joking: "AND it COST LESS than the ENTIRE craft service budget on Doctor Strange and/or any other Marvel movie."
