Tom Hardy to play biker gang leader

Tom Hardy is about to make the dreams of his female fans come true, in the first project he’ll produce and be starring in for Warner Brothers, under his brand new producing deal.

Hardy will be donning leathers for a currently untitled California-set tale about a violent biker gang written by Mark L. Smith (‘Vacancy’) from an idea by John Linson (‘Sons of Anarchy’). The movie will also be co-produced by John and Art Linson, along with Hardy’s producing banner, Executive Options.

Set in 1969 at the height of civil unrest in San Francisco, Hardy will play a man injured in the Vietnam war, returning home to California, and emerging as the leader of the most violent biker gang in the State.

Where it will fit into his busy schedule is so far not known - he’s off to Namibia to film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ with director George Miller and Charlize Theron next month, before promo duties for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ begin. He’s also slated to star as Al Capone in ‘Cicero’, which he said he’s beginning to learn Italian for at the recent UK ‘This Means War’ premiere.

Let’s hope he gets around to this one - it sounds like a movie that will play to his many strengths, and please both his male and female fans...
